Getting to bear witness is a privilege. Truly. I once again had the incredible honor of witnessing a gorgeous moment: the engagement of Madison and Lokesh. I won’t share the whole story, since it’s not my story to share, but there was great surprise, great joy, great hope. It was wonderful. The bubbling-over to out-of-this-world wonderful. A delight to try and capture a bit of it. Here are a few moments from the proposal and some shots immediately afterwards. Congratulations to these two!
The Garvins // Pittsburgh, PA
It’s amazing how life works sometimes. Back in 2021, I got a referral to photograph an outdoor ceremony for two folks with family in Pittsburgh that were living in DC at the time. They had a beautiful ceremony in Pittsburgh during the strange times with the lingering pandemic, but it was an honor to get to capture some special moments with them. Fast forward to 2025, they have now moved to Pittsburgh and recently had a baby - and here we were on another gorgeous day, this time to capture their family together. The Garvins are both such lovely and easy-going people, and it was so fun to meet their son and get to reconnect from that day years ago up on Mt. Washington. One of the joys and priviledges of this work. Enjoy a few photos from our time together:
The Deemers // Pittsburgh, PA
The rain and thunder was loud all morning, but by the time I arrived at the Deemer’s home, it had stopped. The storm passed, and I got the gift of entering the Deemer home and spending some time photographing their lovely family. It was so much fun meeting their three boys and getting to know these wonderful folks.
Enjoy some photos of my time at their home:
The Bennetts // Pittsburgh, PA
Bubbling over with joy. It’s simply contagious when you spend even a second with the Bennetts. The connection between them and their ability to invite you into it is a special gift. It was so much fun photographing their lovely family on a gorgeous fall day in Pittsburgh. Enjoy a few photos from our time together.
The St. Jeans // Pittsburgh, PA
It has been a joy to get to know the St. Jean’s and share in carpooling our kiddos with them this fall. We’re fortunate to be right around the corner from one another, and it’s wonderful to have such good people to do some of those rhythm of life things with. Here’s some photos from a recent visit to a park in our neighborhood.
Lorna & Bobby // Pittsburgh, PA
Frick Park brings the magic year round. I had the great privilege of spending some time with my new friends Lorna and Bobby and exploring one of their favorite spots in Pittsburgh. They absolutely love the outdoors and Frick is a glorious getaway right in the middle of the city. It was wonderful to get to know these two more and see the thoughtful and peaceful way they engage with others and one another, and I am so looking forward to getting to document their wedding day next year. Enjoy a few photos from our late fall outing in Frick Park:
